Frequently asked questions
What are your policies?
If you are unable to attend lesson - please provide at least 24 hours of notice in advance of any lesson cancellations to avoid being charged for that lesson.
If I am absent for any reason, you will have the option of a make-up lesson or no charge will be issued for that lesson.
If you are unwell - students are not encouraged to attend lessons when unwell or contagious as this puts me, my family and other students at risk. If a student is not well enough to attend school/work, they are not well enough to attend private lessons.

- Insurance
- Music lending library
- Printing, scanning, copying for rehearsal purposes
When are invoices issued?
Invoices are generated at the end of each month as I have found that this is the most affordable option for most families, and allows for a no-lesson no-charge arrangement. This can be flexible as some families prefer to be billed weekly or fortnightly.
If families would prefer to pay the school term (10 lessons), upfront payment will be required.
Student/Parent Responsibilities
Please arrive in a timely fashion. Arrival and departure are to be announced clearly and acknowledged by me. Students will be required to wait quietly in the studio or outside the studio door but not in the street until pickup. Parents are welcome to stay and observe music lessons without interrupting and raise any issues or concerns with me at the end of the lesson (but not using the student’s lesson time or the next student’s lesson time) or as soon as possible at a time of mutual convenience afterwards.
Studio Calendar
Lessons are conducted during school term time according to the QLD Catholic Schools Calendar. Lessons are only conducted during the day on available weekdays, after school on available afternoons and evenings, and Saturday mornings.
Lessons will not be conducted in School Holidays, or Public Holidays, unless via special arrangement on a case-by-case basis.
Occasionally personal & professional events may impose on weekly lessons. In these cases, notice will be given to students and their carers and make up lessons will be scheduled or a no lesson no charge will be invoiced on those dates.
A copy of my Child Protection and Risk Management strategy available upon request, a hard copy is available and on display in the studio.
